On 25 June 1264 Henry III's authorisation to nominate 9 councillors was confirmed by 'the people of the kingdom of England' #1265
On 23 June 1264 Henry III empowered Montfort and others to nominate 9 councillors for the business of the kingdom. #1265
Montfort intended to use the #Parliament to consolidate his position. As representatives of communities the knights were key to this. #1265
By 22 June 1264 the knights summoned to a meeting of Parliament by Montfort were gathering in London. #1265
