Football clubs in the Premier League and Championship are required to provide all-seated accommodation for supporters. This followed Lord Justice Taylor's report into the Hillsborough Disaster of April 1989. At a meeting of Football League clubs in February 2014, it was revealed that a majority of the League's 72 clubs were in favour of reviewing the current position.

The Sunday Trading (London Olympic Games and Paralympic Games) Bill [HL] is subject to the fast-track procedure. The Bill was introduced into the House of Lords where it had its Second Reading debate on 24 April 2012. It is expected to complete its remaining stages in the House of Lords on 26 April 2012 and then to be introduced in the House of Commons. All stages of the Bill are expected to take place in the House of Commons on just one day, 30 April 2012. Given these time constraints, this Paper has been published after the Bill's Second Reading in the House of Lords but before its consideration in Committee.

This Bill makes a small number of technical amendments to the advertising and trading, ticket touting and traffic management provisions of the London Olympic Games and Paralympic Games Act 2006. These amendments cover the seizure of articles which contravene advertising and trading regulations; the parliamentary procedure and notice periods required when new advertising and trading regulations are introduced; the penalty for unauthorised sales of Olympic tickets; and traffic regulation and enforcement during the Games.
