Students select a bill and choose which questions they would ask a minister to probe whether it would make an effective law. They learn to consider public opinion about the legislation, what benefits it delivers, how it will be enforced and, above all, what evidence is available to inform their views.
A downloadable lesson plan is available suggesting ways of extending the activity or incorporating it into a longer session.
Three levels of difficulty allow you to tailor the activity to suit your students.
