The committee will hold two oral evidence sessions on the Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) performance in 2014-15. The committee will examine the Department's priorities for this Parliament and its performance in 2014-15. Scrutinising Defra's Annual Report and Accounts, the committee will assess the Department's success in delivering on its key priorities for the rural and farming economy and for the environment as well as protection from natural hazards such as floods and animal diseases.
