Liberty and the Right of the Individual: Exploring the Life and Impact of Charles Stanhope (third Earl Stanhope)

Kent History and Library Centre

September and October 2015

The Parliamentary Archives will be working with Kent History Centre and Library to facilitate a series of educational workshops with local school groups.

The workshops will explore the life and impact of Charles Stanhope on Kent and at Parliament. We will be looking at Stanhope’s involvement with campaigns for liberties and rights including the abolition of the slave trade and the right to religious freedoms.

Further information

These workshops form part of an extended programme of outreach programming by the Parliamentary Archives called the De Montfort Project. You can contact the De Montfort Project team via email or twitter.
