The Parliamentary Archives are working with regional archives services across the country on the De Montfort Project which explores the life and impact of local MPs and Peers on both their local area and at Parliament.
Project activities will take place between April and December 2015.
Regional archive services involved
- A co-curated exhibition
- Educational workshops
- Research groups
- A touring display about Magna Carta and Parliament
- A digital display about Magna Carta and Parliament
The results of these activities will be published as case studies within Living Heritage on the Parliamentary website.
The De Montfort Project is an outreach project inspired by the 750th anniversary of the meeting of the De Montfort Parliament in 1265. The project consists of a programme of collaborative projects and activities with regional archive services.
