House of Commons Work Experience Scheme 2016

The House of Commons offers work experience to secondary school students as part of their careers education, students must be over 14 years old and up to 18 years old to take part in work experience.

The 2016 scheme will run on two separate weeks, commencing 26th June and 4th July respectively. 

Where can I gain experience?

The House of Commons is made up of a number of departments and offices. Roles vary from Committee Clerks in the Department of Chamber and Committee Services to Chefs in the Department of Facilities and from Recruitment Managers within the Department of HR and Change to Visitors Assistants in the Department of Information Services.

How do I apply for work experience?

The 2016 House of Commons Work Experience Scheme is now open for applications.

Applications can be submitted via the House of Commons Careers Portal.

The closing date for applications is Midnight 6th March 2016.
