Festive guided tours and activities for families at Christmas

Christmas at the Houses of Parliament
27 November 2015

On 29 and 30 December 2015, visit the Houses of Parliament and join one of the special festive family tours. Kids go free.

These festive guided tours start at 11am and 2pm and take about an hour. Beginning in Prince’s Chamber, the tours also include the Lords Chamber, Central Lobby and the Commons Chamber before finishing in Westminster Hall which is home to the Parliamentary Christmas tree.

During the tour discover more about Christmas during the time of Oliver Cromwell, the influence that Queen Victoria and Prince Albert had on the festive season we know today and how Westminster Hall has been a place of feasting over the years. After the tour, join Parliament's Visitor Assistants for some festive family activities.

Tour tickets can be booked online, by calling +44 (0)20 7219 4114 or in person from the Ticket Office at the front of Portcullis House on Victoria Embankment. All children under 16 are free (but still require a ticket for admission), adults £18 and concessions £15.50.

There is no additional charge or need to pre-book for the festive family activities which are open to all tour ticket holders on 29 and 30 December.
