Opposition day debates
On Wednesday 6 January MPs debated Universal Credit work allowance in the House of Commons, in the first of two debates to take place on subjects chosen by the Opposition. The second Opposition debate was on flooding.
Backbench business debates
On Thursday 7 January in the Commons Chamber, MPs took part in two general debates which had been schedules by the Backbench Business Committee.
