Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council

The Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council funds bioscience research to tackle challenges such as climate change, a healthier old age, sustainable food production, land use and energy production. Its budget for 2012-13 was around £467m, supporting around 1600 scientists and 2000 research students in universities and institutes across the UK.

The Council supports up to five fellowships per year at POST. There is an opportunity for one or two fellows to work in the House of Commons Library or with a parliamentary select committee.

Application for placements starting in 2015 has closed. Details of the next round will be posted here in summer 2015. You can also keep in touch with fellowship opportunities by following us on Twitter.
