A visit to Parliament can be an enriching experience for university students, helping to bring theoretical learning to life.

About university student visits to Parliament

Parliament's Outreach Service offers interactive workshops at Westminster for students, focusing on an aspect of the work, business or processes of Parliament.  Visits can also include watching Chamber and/or Committee business in the House of Commons and the House of Lords. 

Open to: Students at any UK higher education institution
Places per session: 40 (to include students and accompanying staff)
Dates: Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays while Parliament is sitting
Duration: 2 hour workshop plus observation of parliamentary business
Start times: 10.00am or 2.00pm

Arranging tours for university students

If you would like to book a free guided tour of the Palace for your students, you will need to request a tour through your MP or a member of the House of Lords. 
Tours are very popular and places are limited so generally have to be booked about six months in advance.
