In 2012:

The service industries made up 79% of UK total economic output, equivalent to over £1 trillion.

Manufacturing output accounted for 10% of UK output or £139 billion.

The construction sector contributed £83 billion to UK economic output, 6% of the total.

This note also contains data showing the value of the major industries and their contribution to total economic output back to 1970.
