Sir Alan Beith MP and Julie Pörksen

- working together, working for you

ALan Beith, Julie Porksen and supporters

The job of Berwick-upon-Tweed's MP is to fight for our area and constituents, for the services we need and deserve, and for this beautiful and varied part of England.

Alan has made it his top priority to represent the views and concerns of the people of Northumberland, from Berwick to Belsay and from the Cheviots and the National Park to the coast. He's worked tirelessly to represent us and our area since he was first elected in 1973. Julie is working hard alongside Sir Alan and we want to see her elected to Parliament in May 2015 as Alan's successor. She has made a commitment to continue Alan's outstanding record of service and to be a strong voice for the whole of the Berwick-upon-Tweed constituents.

Liberal Democrat campaigner Julie Porksen has reminded constituents that the pressure must continue to make progress for any A1 improvements, following the latest meeting of the Stakeholder Feasibility Group in Morpeth today.

Julie, who attended the meeting, said

"Today's meeting looked in detail at the various parts of the road being considered as part of the Department of Transport's feasibility studies.
