About the Adventurer’s Tour

Please note that this visit is available to UK schools only.

KS2 History, English

Explore the Palace of Westminster to find out how UK democracy has been shaped over time. Students will be set a secret mission to answer questions about how it all began, how issues in Parliament are debated and how the public can get their voices’ heard.

Note: This mission is secret, so please tell your class as little as possible - all will be revealed on the day!

NB: Parliament is a working building and access to different parts of the Palace of Westminster, as part of your tour, will vary due to Parliamentary business.

Your visit might include:

  • Norman Porch, the Robing Room and/or The Royal Gallery
  • The House of Commons and/or House of Lords chambers
  • Central Lobby, at the ‘heart’ of the Houses of Parliament
  • St. Stephen’s Hall, the home of the original House of Commons
