    • Visit to Istanbul, 8-10 May 2014, to give keynote speech and be mediator at International Symposium on Justice and the Rule of Law; this work is unpaid, but costs of flights and accommodation are met by the Symposium, which is being organised and co-ordinated by the law firm YükselKarkinKüçük Attorney Partnership
    • Visit to Bahrain, 12-17 April 2014, as member of parliamentary delegation invited by Government of Bahrain on fact finding mission to look at human rights issues and other areas of policy; travel and accommodation paid for by Government of Bahrain
