What’s Happening on w4mp

Updating the Guides

Now that we have moved the site over to WordPress we have started going through the guides to ensure that they remain relevant, useful and accurate. You may find that some guides are ‘retired’ (Blade Runner style) while others are merged and modified. Don’t forget that you can find old – and therefore not necessarily current – guides on the copy of the old website that we transferred over.

Important Information about Safety and Security

The latest version of the Members’ Personal Safety Leaflet is now available on the intranet. This is not just for Members; it’s vital that their staff read it as well.  W4MP can’t emphasise strongly enough the importance of your reading this and taking appropriate action.

Whether you work at Westminster or in the constituency you should read this.

Our New-look Site

After nearly ten years we’ve moved to a new server running on the popular and powerful WordPress platform. We believe this will let us give you a better service and allow us to offer new features that will make w4mp even more useful to you

It has most of the material from  the older sites. If you can’t find what you are looking for then the older pages remain accessible here although they may not be properly formatted and are no longer current, so you should not rely on the information they contain.

Please let us know of any issues you have with the site, or any errors/omissions you notice. You can email or use the contact form.

Monthly Cartoon and alt.guides

Hoby 54: Guy Fawkes

Hoby Cartoon

Parliament is a serious place, and the Palace of Westminster and constituency offices are filled with hard-working, dedicated professionals engaged in the important business of running the country.  Yet even the most committed need time for rest and recuperation, space to kick back and unwind, and opportunities to take a sideways look at their workplace, employers and even their political masters. Our alt.guides offer a sidelong view of life working for an MP, and include monthly cartoon from Hoby.
