Evidence session on MoD defence equipment programme

15 December 2009

The Commons Defence Committee holds an evidence session on the Department's Defence Equipment programme with senior Ministers and officials. Watch live from 10.30am.

The witnesses are:

  • Quentin Davies MP, Minister for Defence Equipment and Support
  • Sir Kevin O’Donaghue KCB CBE, Chief of Defence Materiel
  • Vice Admiral Paul Lambert CB, Deputy Chief of Defence Staff (Capability)

The Committee's inquiry is following up areas of weakness and poor performance identified in its last report published earlier this year. It is focussing on armoured vehicles and the future of the Future Rapid Effect System programme, strategic air-lift and maritime capability.

A second evidence session, scheduled for 3.30pm today, has been postponed until the New Year.
