Parliamentary Information and Communication Technology (PICT) helps connect Parliament and the public by using world class technologies. The role of ICT Staff with Parliament has never been more important. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital supporting role in the joint department working for both Houses of Parliament.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within a strategic programme in PICT, working with the Operations and Members Directorate as an experienced Business Analyst. You will support PICT with the implementation of an updated ICT Strategy for Parliament, specifically working on the “Customer Advice and Support” (CAS) project. You will capture and produce business requirements, produce deliverables and work packages for PICT and its customers in relation to the new service management suite and the emerging catalogue of services. You will work across all of the strands within the project and work with the Senior User on the project defining acceptance criteria.

The successful candidate will have a relevant and accredited qualification in business analytical skills e.g. ISEB qualification or equivalent, as well as a demonstrable background in IT operations and support, specifically with experience in the provision of multiple services to multiple user communities. We also require a demonstrable knowledge of working on design, configuration and release of service management tools and business processes and evidence of delivery of core business analysis products.

The role of ICT Staff with Parliament has never been more important. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital supporting role in the joint department working for both Houses of Parliament.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of our team assisting in the programme planning and management, working to the Head of Programme Office. You will be required to:

  • Provide support in completing and adhering to project management processes and using tools to maintain project data, co-ordinating across projects in the programme.
  • To play a significant assurance role to ensure that standards are being applied within the programme by PMs managing workstreams.
  • Develop and maintain time, resource, budget and exception plans and reports
  • Track and report on progress and performance within the projects.
We are looking for someone who has experience in the day-to-day support of multiple projects simultaneously, specifically with experience of working on IT programmes. Experience in a large, multi-stream programme would be an advantage and general experience in large IT departments with high availability critical business service where there are a diversity of business partners and conflicting requirements.
